The short version
We collect as little as possible. You can read every page on this site without giving us anything. If you choose to sign up to our email list or send us a question, we collect what you type into the form and nothing more. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers.
What we collect and where it goes
- •Email signups. If you join our email list, your email address is stored with MailerLite, the service we use to send emails. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
- •Questions and messages. If you use the Ask a Tradie or contact form, what you write (and your name and email, if you include them) is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form delivery service. If you ask to stay anonymous, we publish the question without any identifying details.
- •Anonymous analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
What we do not do
- •We do not sell, rent or swap your personal information with anyone.
- •We do not send spam. The email list gets the email it signed up for, nothing else.
- •We do not run third party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to official sources (like Fair Work and state training authorities) and sometimes to retailers. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one stops at our door. Where a link earns us a commission, our disclosure page explains how that works.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the email list at any time using the link in any email. If you want your details corrected or deleted, whether that is an email address, a question you sent, or anything else, use the contact form and we will sort it out.
